Opposition
By: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Goodreads Synopsis:
Katy knows the world changed the night the Luxen came.
She can't believe Daemon welcomed his race or stood by as his kind threatened to obliterate every last human and hybrid on Earth. But the lines between good and bad have blurred, and love has become an emotion that could destroy her—could destroy them all.
Daemon will do anything to save those he loves, even if it means betrayal.
They must team with an unlikely enemy if there is any chance of surviving the invasion. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell friend from foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything— even what they cherish most—to ensure the survival of their friends…and mankind.
War has come to Earth. And no matter the outcome, the future will never be the same for those left standing.
My Review:
5 Star Rating
I was very excited to recieve this book for Christmas. I couldn't wait to get started reading it. I have been a huge fan of Jennifer L. Armentrout's Lux Series from book one. Every book is a captivating, page-turner and this book was no different. I must admit it took me a minute to get back into the story but once I did putting it down was furthest from my mind. (I was still reeling from the last book I had read.)
However, just like every book before, it kept me wanting more.

Finishing this book brought on so many feels! Sadness at seeing it end and yet I was so happy with the way Jennifer wrapped up an amazing story. Both main characters sacrificed so much, so it was nice to witness a happy ending for everyone involved.
I love reading novels with strong female roles and Katy portrayed the persona perfectly, even from book one (Obsidian). It's always great reading a book about a strong female character who doesn't need a man to protect her. She fought right along with the guys in the war that insues throughout the book. And even when a major catastrophy hits her home she finds her way out of complete darkness. Granted Daemon was by her side the entire time.
And of course everyone loves Daemon. I mean who wouldn't: a sarcastic, funny, charming alien. I mean every girl dreams of a guy like Daemon! Right? It was nice to see Daemon's personality change throughout the series. He becomes more of an understanding brother towards his siblings and slowly realizes he can't protect Katy from every bad thing in the world.
It was also great to see more of Dawson and Archer.
Overall this entire series is a must read, if you haven't already. I will continue to reccommend this to friends and family.
