What I read last week:

I finished yet another book from my forgotten TBR pile. When I started Unearthly I did not have high hopes, my interest in the premise had dwindled over the years and I wasn't sure I would enjoy it. But boy was I pleasantly surprised, I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would.

So many list changed a bit from last week, I had planned on reading Parallel next but after reading Unearthly I am hoked and have to finish the series. So while I wait for it to ship I am reading a not so lengthy book.

What I read last week:

Last week was a Nicholas Sparks kind of week. Dear John was sitting in my list on Netflix and I figured why not finally read the book that has been sitting on my shelf for 4 years. After that I found myself in the mood for more, so I picked up another one of his books that has been sitting on my shelf just as long.

What I read last week:

My last read has left me with a bit of a book-hangover. JLA is one of my favorite authors and every one of her books leaves me struggling to find interest in my next read, unless it is one of hers of course. :) However, this last book has left me reeling and I can't wait for book two to be released. Last week I finished yet another Nicholas Sparks book, while I am not a big fan of romance when it comes to Nicholas Sparks I get hooked from the very beginning. I love his writing and have yet to find a book of his that I don't enjoy. Click here to check out my review of The Wedding.

What I read last week:

Last week's book was my first DNF in a very long time.  Almost always I will finish a book, even if I can't stand the story or the writing, but when it came to The Edge of Never I just couldn't struggle my way through. The writing was atrocious, the characters were bland and several of the scenes or chapters even were unnecessary. I barely made it 20% through and that was after 2 weeks of trying to get into the story. 

After seeing such a high Goodreads rating I thought this book must be amazing, but I was sourly disappointed.

What I read last week:

This book has been sitting on my shelf for years and as time went by it was forgotten. At the time the premise sounded different from the constant vampire and werewolf novels I was reading back in college. Sadly, this book did not hold up to my expectations.

So honestly, I just finished this book and loved every second of it. If I didn't have to work I would have finished a lot sooner, The Night Circus had me hooked from the very first page!!

I am a bit of a slow reader, especially with work taking over most of my time this past month and I was only able to finish one book, Pretty Girl-13. It was good but it did not make it to my list of favorites.
