Review: Nights in Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks

Nights in Rodanthe
By: Nicholas Sparks

Synopsis From Goodreads:

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author Nicholas Sparks comes a tender story of hope and joy; of sacrifice and forgiveness -- a moving reminder that love is possible at any age, at any time, and often comes when we least expect it.

At forty-five, Adrienne Willis must rethink her entire life when her husband abandons her for a younger woman. Reeling with heartache and in search of a respite, she flees to the small coastal town of Rodanthe, North Carolina to tend to a friend's inn for the weekend. But when a major storm starts moving in, it appears that Adrienne's perfect getaway will be ruined -- until a guest named Paul Flanner arrives.

At fifty-four, Paul has just sold his medical practice and come to Rodanthe to escape his own shattered past. Now, with the storm closing in, two wounded people will turn to each other for comfort -- and in one weekend set in motion feelings that will resonate throughout the rest of their lives.

My Review:
Rating:
★★★★

I always love me a good Nicholas Sparks book. I can always power through his novels, his writing pulls you in and wraps around you making it feel as though you are experiencing every emotion right along side the characters. I have yet to find a Nicholas Sparks book that I do not enjoy.

Nights in Rodanthe is one more book I can add to my ever growing Nicholas Sparks collection. I was hooked from the very beginning, on the edge of my seat eager to see how the store played out. And like true Nicholas Sparks fashion this one was a tear-jerker.

Nights in Rodanthe follows Adrienne and Paul as they find love and happiness when they least expect it. Adrienne is a single mother feeling lost after her divorce and Paul is a workaholic who has up and sold his practice out of the blue. During a nor'easter storm in Rodanthe Adrienne and Paul find themselves at a small Inn preparing to weather the storm. As the weekend goes by both discover happiness and love again after so much heartbreak and disappointment. They both leave Rodanthe changed for the better because of the time they shared together.

Nicholas Sparks has to be one of my favorite authors when it comes to romance novels. He truly has a way of bringing to life the characters and every moment shared between them. I'm a little late in the game when it comes to reading the Nights in Rodanthe, but I must say I am glad that I finally did!!
