Review: Rose by Leslie North

Rose
By: Leslie North

Series: Thorn Tattoo Studio
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Length: 185 pages
Synopsis From Goodreads:

“A man like him could never be tamed…”

Giovanni DeRose only came back to Las Vegas to work with his brothers in the legendary family tattoo studio. Instead, he’s found himself the leader of a sinking ship, thrown together with a gorgeous woman who won’t back down. But with the threat of closure if he doesn’t turn a profit ASAP, working alongside her may be his only option. Gio can do just about anything with his talented hands and bare skin, but this bad boy will need something different if he’s going to save Thorn...

Riley Bryne is an Irish lass that’s as smooth as whiskey—if you don’t mind the burn that comes along with it. As Thorn’s new co-manager she’s desperate to pull it back into the green to clear her own debt, but her numbers-focused tactics throws her up against her Gio’s art-centered direction. Challenging the tattooed hunk is easy, but stopping herself falling for his smouldering touch? The odds don't look good.

Riley is business savvy and a little bit bossy—something Giovanni finds frustrating in the studio and hot as hell when he’s got her pinned to their office desk. But if Thorn Tattoo is going to survive they’ll need to combine not just their bodies, but their talents outside the bedroom, too.

My Review:

Rating:

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review!

First, I must say this cover is AMAZING!!! The cover is what really drew me to the book and got me to read the description. And I can say it was well worth it! :D

Throughout this book we follow Riley and Giovanni, two individuals with a deep passion for tattooing and a tattoo shop struggling to survive on the Vegas strip. While, they struggle through their office differences and their increasing attraction to one another, they find they are not so different after all.

From the beginning we meet Riley has she steps into her new role as co-manager at Thorn Tattoo Studio and she is not met with warm welcomes. Giovanni does not want to share his shop, he has everything under control and believes with a new artist they will be able to pull themselves out of the slump they are in.

Riley and Giovanni but heads numerous times, over office details and crunching the numbers. However, after a very steamy night on the Las Vegas strip, things begin to turn around.

We discover that Riley has been keeping a secret about her past and the real reason she left her cushy job for a management role in a tattoo parlor. It turns out she is more talented and well-versed in the tattoo industry than she ever let on. And from there Giovanni and Riley develop quite the relationship.

I truly enjoyed this book, it was a quick read in between moving and unpacking boxes. I would highly recommend this book and plan on reading the rest of the series one day. Leslie North is a phenomenal author and I look forward to reading more of her work.
