Review: The Scorch Trials (Maze Runner Trilogy) by James Dashner

The Scorch Trials
By: James Dashner

Synopsis From Goodreads:

Solving the Maze was supposed to be the end.

Thomas was sure that escape from the Maze would mean freedom for him and the Gladers. But WICKED isn’t done yet. Phase Two has just begun. The Scorch.

There are no rules. There is no help. You either make it or you die.

The Gladers have two weeks to cross through the Scorch—the most burned-out section of the world. And WICKED has made sure to adjust the variables and stack the odds against them.

Friendships will be tested. Loyalties will be broken. All bets are off.

There are others now. Their survival depends on the Gladers’ destruction—and they’re determined to survive.

Mom's Review:

My Review:

Well okay since I am the "Mom" and I read The Maze Runner, saw the movie, and I am just amazed by the way James Dashner writes with such detail that I had to try The Scorch Trials.

James Dashner did it again, he pulls you right into the characters, however, I was a little skeptical in the beginning becasue I thought maybe this story was heading into a "Zombie" world. Thank goodness it didn't! I love the character Thomas and his interactions with Minoh and Newt.

This story keeps you on the edge wondering whats going to take place next, who is not going to make it through. Adding in a new "love" interest has become intriguing as you try to solve the mystery of all the connections each has to Thomas.

This is a great book and I just went out and bought The Death Cure! Have to see what new adventures Thomas and his crew will be sent into to survive.
