Review: Pure by: Jennifer L. Armentrout

Pure
By: Jennifer L. Armentrout

Series: The Covenant Series
Genre: Young Adult Fantasy, Paranormal
Length: 329 pages
Synopsis From Goodreads:

There is need. And then there is Fate. Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's other half is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her. When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon--and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude--or killing her. When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

My Review:

Rating:

A truly marvelous story with, captivating characters and a love triangle to die for!!

Jennifer L. Armentrout is an amazing author. She is the best and her writing style is magnificent, she draws you in from the very first page and keeps your attention until the very end. She builds a world you can feel a part of and characters that you can get invested in.

Alex is my favorite female protagonist, I love her personality and wish I could be more like her. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Alex and her heart-stopping boys.

If you follow our blog you know I have read the Titans series and absolutely  love Seth. I liked that this book focused more on Seth and Alex's growing relationship. Even though I am not a fan of love triangles, this is one I can get behind. Its nice getting a glimpse at the Seth before Josie!! While I like Seth and Alex's relationship I see it as more of a friendship, she is destined to be with Aiden-even if it is a big no-no.

“Ever since I’ve met you, I’ve wanted to break every rule.” Aiden turned away, the muscles in his neck tensing. He sighed. “You’ll become the centre of someone’s world one day. And he’ll be the luckiest son of a bitch on this earth.”

Forever Team Alex and Aiden, their relationship is adorable. Throughout this book I found myself wanting and waiting for more scenes between them.

I can't wait to get my hands on Deity, I look forward to seeing what the future holds for Alex. If you haven't yet read this book, I highly suggest you do, the story and writing is amazing!! Definitely worth reading!
